I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2014. Growing up I lead an active lifestyle through swimming and playing water polo for Curtis High School and the University of Washington. Being an athlete taught me that we must take care of body’s before an injury has gone too far. My passion for learning about the anatomy and physiology of the human body is what directed me to obtain a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from the University of Washington. Shortly after I enrolled in massage school at Alexandar’s School of Natural Therapeutics. I have learned several of my skills working at both a massage and a chiropractic clinic right out of school. In February of 2016 I decided to venture off and start my own practice Anchored Massage Therapy.
I invite patients to my practice with chronic issues such as with their back or neck who haven’t been able to find relief from other therapists or practitioners. I enjoy working with them and using multiple modalities all together to locate and abolish the origin of the pain. Working with athletes is also a passion of mine and I strongly encourage injury prevention when doing high volumes of training. Patients that just need to escape from the stress and chaos from their day-to-day lives are encouraged to unwind in a melting massage.
As I have said before I offer a wide range of tools to incorporate throughout every session and tackle the pain from multiple angles. I use Cupping Therapy, Gua Sha Therapy, Kinesiology Taping, Neuromuscular Re-Education, Orthopedic Massage Therapy, Aromatherapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Intraoral, Craniosacral, and Deep Tissue in numerous different combinations to help patients feel revived.
In my spare time I love coaching high school girls’ water polo for Curtis High School. For almost four years now I have been using Crossfit as my way to stay in shape and thanks to Town Athletics that has been made possible. I also adore playing with Kevin and mine’s puppy and trekking all around Tacoma with him.
